Terms and conditions

Name badge

Each delegate will receive a name badge when they arrive at the registration desk onsite. The badge will be your official pass to obtain entry to all sessions and social function/s. You are responsible for having your badge with you at all times and it must be clearly visible to obtain entry to the sessions.

Definition

Member registration

A member must be a current member of the Federal Dispute Resolution Section at the time of registration and the membership must be valid for the dates of the conference.

Non-members

If you are not a member, you can easily sign up as a member. Please contact fdrs@lawcouncil.au if you wish to check membership status. 

Program amendments

Any representations made by the LCA, or information provided by the LCA in respect of an event is current and accurate to best of the LCA’s knowledge, at the time that the representation is made, or information provided. To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, the LCA does not make any representations or warranties as to the accuracy or completeness of the information. Although every effort will be made to keep presentations as represented, the LCA reserves the right to make any reasonably necessary changes to the program, including:

  • altering the scheduled dates; 
  • changing the location of events;  
  • substituting any of the speakers for any event; and
  • cancelling the event.

Continuing professional development (CPD)

It is the responsibility of the individual member to determine whether CPD points can be earned for an attendance of an

event hosted by the Sections of the LCA, as the mandatory CPD requirements vary between each State and Territory. Please refer to your relevant State and Territory Law Society in advance of the event for further information. 

Code of conduct

The Host and Organiser of the Immigration Law Seminar 2026 (the “Event”) reserve the right to remove from the venue/event at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid.

The networking event is held the night before the seminar. This is a great opportunity for delegates to connect and discuss insights from the days sessions.
